RPTU Kaiserslautern symbolically occupied by "End Fossil: Occupy" on May 8 and 9
As part of the Europe-wide wave of occupations by the group "End Fossil: Occupy", RPTU Kaiserslautern was also symbolically occupied on May 8 and 9.
The local group "End Fossil: Occupy Kaiserslautern" set up their climate camp in front of the university canteen and invited their fellow students to join them to discuss and formulate concrete demands for RPTU Kaiserslautern. During this time, they also received occasional support from students from Landau.
The formulated demands were then handed over to the university management. The group asked for a joint discussion and concrete action measures to curb climate change and promote sustainable solutions.
The 53rd student parliament of RPTU Kaiserslautern adopted a statement of solidarity with "End Fossil Occupy Kaiserslautern" at its 7th session. It would like to express its support for the occupiers and their demands.
