ErasmuScout Program

The Scout-Program of RPTU was launched in the winter semester 2014/2015.

If you want to get to know international students and help them to settle down here in Kaiserslautern,

then you should of course join our program!

Scouts contact newcomer students already before their arrival in Kaiserslautern

  • After the arrival scouts offer help concerning problems related to daily-life (e.g. shopping facilities, public transport etc)

Additionally we offer a variety of events where scouts and their students can participate e.g. international cultural evenings, excursions, etc.

  • German as mother tongue
  • Openness and interest in foreign cultures
  • Reliability
  • Time me to support the newcomer student (at least once a week)
  • Participation in the informative meetings
  • Final evaluation in the form of a questionnaire
  • Precondition for obtaining a certificate is the participation in at least three of our events

Then please fill in the following application form (Anmeldeformular (pdf) and send it back via e-mail or hand it in personally (Build. 47, room 628, office hours MO+TUE 10-12am). Upon receipt of the  application form you will receive an e-mail with further information.

Applications for the summer semester will be accepted until March 15, for the winter semester until August 15.

We will assign newcomer students during the semester-break, mostly depending on same departments. Nevertheless we will try to take into account your wishes concerning the home-country of the newcomer student.
